Yes. Torrenting and other peer-to-peer (P2P) traffic work on NymVPN, and the rules that govern what exit nodes allow are public. No hidden throttling, no separate "P2P servers": you torrent through the same network as everything else.
How it works
Traffic leaving the Nym network is governed by a public exit policy that all exit nodes apply. You can inspect it yourself; that transparency is the point. A traditional VPN asks you to trust its P2P policy. NymVPN's policy is a published document.
For torrenting, your privacy protections are the same as for any other traffic: the kill switch is always on, so a dropped connection blocks traffic rather than exposing your real IP to the swarm. See What to do if NymVPN is leaking DNS/WebRTC and IPv6 addresses? to verify nothing leaks.
If torrenting doesn't work
Exit nodes are run by independent operators, and a node is subject to the laws of the country it sits in. Operators in countries where torrenting is restricted may block P2P traffic on their exit node. The fix is simple: switch to a different exit location and reconnect. See Why do online activities get censored when choosing certain exit locations?
A note on speed
For large downloads, Fast mode (2-hop WireGuard) gives you modern protocol speed. Anonymous mode routes through five hops with cover traffic and is not designed for high-volume transfers. See What's the difference between NymVPN Fast & Anonymous mode?
VPN and torrenting legality varies by country, so make sure to check local regulations where you are. Downloading copyrighted material without permission is illegal regardless of what network you use.
