Does NymVPN protect me against malware?

NymVPN is designed to protect your privacy—not to serve as an antivirus solution.

In Fast mode, it hides your IP address and location. In Anonymous mode, it also protects your metadata by routing traffic through the Nym mixnet. Features like leak prevention, firewall rules, and a kill switch help prevent your personal data from leaking during network disruptions.

However, NymVPN does not block malware or protect against malicious websites. For that, we recommend using your device’s built-in security features or a trusted antivirus/anti-malware solution alongside NymVPN.
