Does NymVPN work in China?

As of April 2025, recent user reports indicate that NymVPN may face limited functionality in China due to local network restrictions.

• The “Fast” mode, which uses WireGuard/AmneziaWG, may experience connectivity or reliability issues in certain regions.
• The “Anonymous” mode, powered by the Nym mixnet, has been reported to work more consistently. However, this mode is best suited for low-bandwidth and high-latency-tolerant activities, such as messaging or secure communications.

We’re actively working to enhance NymVPN’s performance under restrictive network environments and will continue to improve support for users in China. Stay tuned for updates.
