If checkout shows a specific error, here is what each common message means and how to fix it. For general payment failures, see What happens if my NymVPN payment fails?
"Card declined"
Your bank rejected the charge. Check the card details, confirm sufficient funds, and note that some banks block subscription or international payments by default. Ask your bank to approve it, or try a different card or payment method.
"Network timeout" or "Server error"
A temporary connection problem between checkout and the payment processor. Wait a minute and try again. If it persists, try a different network or payment method.
"Regulatory issue"
The payment could not be processed for compliance reasons in your region. Try an alternative method such as cryptocurrency or cash by post. See What payment methods are available for NymVPN?
"Session expired"
The checkout page timed out before payment completed. Start checkout again. For cryptocurrency, if you already sent funds to the displayed address, the payment still credits once it confirms on-chain, even after the timer expires.
