In some regions, workplaces, schools, or public Wi-Fi networks, VPN traffic may be blocked, censored or interfered with. If NymVPN is getting stuck during the connection process, you can try enabling Anti-censorship features in the app.
You may be on a restricted network if:
NymVPN stays on Connecting for a long time
it connects and immediately disconnects
you can’t reach the gateway list or your connection never completes
Turn on Anti-censorship (QUIC)
Open the NymVPN app.
Tap the Settings icon (⚙️).
Tap Anti-censorship.
Toggle QUIC to On.
Go back and try to Connect again.
If it still doesn’t connect
Try switching networks (mobile data vs Wi-Fi, or another Wi-Fi network).
Try again after a few minutes (some networks throttle or temporarily block new connections).
If you contact support, include your Account ID (n1...) and the network type you’re on (home, workplace, hotel, public Wi-Fi). Do not share your 24-word access code.
