This guide will help uninstall NymVPN and ensure all files and directories are properly removed from your Windows device.
1. Uninstall NymVPN program
Open the Control Panel and select Programs > Uninstall a program
Locate NymVPN in the list and select Uninstall
2. Remove the NymVPN hidden directory
After uninstalling NymVPN, some files may remain in a hidden directory and you can delete them by following these instructions:
- Open your File Explorer
- Insert the following path on the File Explorer address bar
C:\Users\<YOUR_USERNAME_HERE>\AppData\Local\nym-vpn-app
C:\Users\<YOUR_USERNAME_HERE>\AppData\Roaming\nym-vpn-app
Right-click the folder and select Delete.
Please note that you will need to enable "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" by opening the View tab on File Explorer.

# How to Uninstall NymVPN on Windows
If you need to uninstall NymVPN from your Windows device, follow these steps to ensure a complete removal of the application and its associated files.
## Step 1: Uninstall the NymVPN Application
1. Press `Win + R` to open the Run dialog box.
2. Type `control` and press Enter to open the Control Panel.
3. Click on **Programs** > **Programs and Features**.
4. Find **NymVPN** in the list of installed programs.
5. Right-click on **NymVPN** and select **Uninstall**.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation process.
## Step 2: Remove NymVPN Files and Folders
1. Open **File Explorer**.
2. Navigate to the following directories and delete any folders related to NymVPN:
- `C:\Program Files\NymVPN`
- `C:\ProgramData\NymVPN`
- `C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\NymVPN`
- `C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\NymVPN`
## Step 3: Remove NymVPN from Startup
1. Press `Ctrl + Shift + Esc` to open Task Manager.

## Step 6: Empty the Recycle Bin
1. Right-click on the **Recycle Bin** icon on the desktop.
2. Select **Empty Recycle Bin** to permanently delete the removed files.
