How long does it take to receive my refund?

We understand that waiting for a refund can be frustrating, and we strive to process all refund requests as quickly as possible. The exact time it takes for you to receive your refund depends on the payment method used. We aim to issue refunds within one week of acknowledging the request.

Refund Processing Times

• Card Payments (via Stripe) → Refunds to credit/debit cards typically take 5-10 business days, depending on your bank’s processing time.
• NYM token returns → NYMs can be returned instantly, but final settlement depends on blockchain network congestion.
• Refunds for Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Lightning Network (LN), and Monero (XMR) payments will be processed swiftly, depending on the network used.
  • Starting in Q2 2025, we will also support refunds for Liquid Bitcoin (L-BTC) and Liquid Tether (L-USDT).

How Are Refunds Calculated?

NymVPN offers pro-rata refunds within the first 30 days of your subscription. If you cancel mid-way through your plan, you will receive a refund for the unused portion of your subscription. You can find more details on our refund article.
