To protect your identity, NymVPN doesn’t link activity to accounts or devices. Instead, when you connect to a gateway in either dVPN or mixnet mode, your device presents a cryptographic “ticket” that proves it has the right to connect — without revealing anything about you.
Each ticket comes with a data allowance, and your account is granted a pool of tickets totalling 2 TB per month. When you use one of these tickets, the full allowance attached to it is considered “spent”, regardless of how much data you actually transfer.
This means:
If you’re using a single device and stick to a few gateways, your actual data usage will likely match your allowance more closely.
If you connect from many devices or frequently rotate gateways, you’ll burn through more tickets — and appear to use your full allowance faster, even if your real data usage is lower.
We’re actively monitoring this to find the fairest balance between privacy, performance, and generous access.
